Huruma Gospel Dancers-Kenya

This letter comes to you with immense joy! My prayer is that, as you touch this page, my joy will rub off on you. The past 2 months have been an amazing time of spiritual growth for me, and I am writing to share with you some of what God has been doing in my life. For those of you who do not know, I am currently studying at Arizona State University for a Graduate degree in Non Profit Management. I have been living with Pastor Linn and Lisa Winters, Senior Pastors at Cornerstone Christian Fellowship (www.cornerstonechandler.com) here in Chandler.

In my life, God has been teaching me daily the aspect of trusting and putting my faith in Him and above all, none of this life is about me. When I applied for my Masters I never knew that one day I will be able to achieve one of my dreams and get the skills and knowledge of becoming a servant in Kenya.

And so, on July 3^rd, I will be commencing a seven week trip to Kenya with a team from Cornerstone to Huruma Children’s Home (www.hchngong.org) and I could not be more excited! Going back Home and telling my brothers and sisters that with God all things are possible. The mission of our team is relatively simple: we are to use the gifts that God has given us to impact their lives. During the trip I will be working in cooperation with our group as well as my brothers and sisters at Huruma as well as the staff of the home in meeting their needs – teaching, building, serving, and showing God’s love! Our team is trusting God to provide further direction as the trip gets closer.

Just as I have to trust God to provide direction, I also have to trust God to provide the means. And so, here is the part where I kindly plead for your support. There are a couple ways that you can support me; one of which is by participating in the calling God has placed on my life through prayer. You can pray for the Children of Huruma, the people of Kenya and the entire team. The other way that you can support me is by helping me financially. In order to go on this trip I must raise $2750 by May 30^th and whatever amount you will generously give will go be of tremendous help.

I am completely reliant on the gifts of others for this sum, as I cannot cover it on my own. I know that God will provide, just as He has provided in all other areas of my life. He always comes through with the best! Because in Ephesians 3:20 it says“…to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think…” If you feel called and are able to bless me with a financial gift I will be very grateful. I would love for you to be a part of God’s ministry in Kenya with me!
